The trenches of Granezzetta were part of the third line, known also as “marginal line” since it was running on the southernmost hills of the Plateau. They were dug on the ridge descending from Monte Mazze and that flank the Granezza plain, for and extension of about 1500 metres. Being carved in the rocky terrain, they are exceptionally well preserved and show the building techniques and the solutions adopted to fight in the mountain front.
It is still possible to see clearly machine gun emplacements and dugouts dug to protect the troops during bombardments.
